Odd and the Frost Giants

A family member lent me this book by Neil Gaiman. This illustrated children’s story is 123 pages of Norse fantasy.

Odd (named for the tip of a blade) may be unlucky, but he keeps his wits about him. When life gets too rough with his new stepfather and stepsiblings, he sets off for his father’s woodcutting hut. He meets a fox, an eagle, and a bear who are gods cursed to live in their current forms. He agrees to help them, and the adventure begins.

This book has heart and soul and it just a joy to read. 5/5 stars!
