Diavola
This book! OMG! This book!
This book was on a lot of YouTuber’s TBR lists, and the cover won me over. I don’t know what I expected with this book, but it wasn’t this.
Diavola by Jennifer Thorne is a modern gothic novel with wit and heart. Anna is the black sheep of her family, never doing anything right. When she comes along to Tuscany on the annual family vacation, which just so happens to be to a haunted villa, she gets nothing but the cold shoulder and blame for everything that the ghosts they’re sharing the villa with do.
This 296-page book was thrilling and funny. You get a healthy dose of Anna’s sardonic wit and internal monologue. The ending is satisfying.
